Synopsis
Marianne is a quantum physicist, Roland is a beekeeper. Their love story – from the initial passion through the first infidelity to ‘till death do you part’ – could be a typical relationship drama, were it not for the fact that Marianne’s field of research determines the plot’s development in a surprising way:
Suppose there were an incalculable number of parallel universes, branching out further with every decision made; then our lives, too, would exist in an infinite number of variations.
Following this theory, Nick Payne develops an original dramatic structure for ‘Constellations’ by recounting the same events in ever-changing ways, jumping back and forth between individual scenes and exploring alternative outcomes.

Kultur-Schatulle, Oktober 2025

...directed with the lightest of hands, this production lets the text — and the chemistry between [the actors] — do the work. The result is luminous, minimal, and expectedly moving.ViennaCultgram, Oktober 2025
