Synopsis
Ben likes beer, sport and Emily. And Chris.
Ben, a bank clerk, lives in Boston with his girlfriend Emily, whom he’s been with since his early college days. Emily is a PhD student in bioinformatics at Harvard and has her life firmly under control and meticulously planned out: once she graduates, she’s really just waiting for Ben to propose and for a family life complete with a dog.
But Ben still lives alone in his flat, without Emily, and spends his time somewhere between drinking beer and watching football. Eventually, he meets Chris, a 20-year-old history student, via an online platform. The two men are drawn to each other and begin an affair.
Caught in a world of stereotypes, confused feelings and plans for what his future should look like, Ben makes a momentous decision…
